The Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) defines sustainable groundwater management as the management of groundwater in a manner that can be maintained without causing undesirable results. Undesirable results, as well as other sustainable management criteria requirements, will be developed for the Atascadero Basin cooperatively by stakeholders and the GSA to be published in the Sustainable Management Criteria Section of the GSP. 

This public workshop is designed to introduce interested parties to the concept of sustainable management criteria, the components required for SGMA, and the specific considerations for the Atascadero Basin.
